Does anyone know how long primers are good for? I have some primers still in the original packaging that are about 10 years old. They have been in the original trays, inside the sleeves, inside the orginal boxes, inside the cardboard case shipping box the whole time. I have about 8000 left and I hate to throw them out if they can be used.
If it makes any difference they are CCI 200s.

PS If you have reloading sites you like please share them. I am finding it frustrating using mulitple books to find the right powder for my cartridge and bullet.

| The ABC's of reloading will tell about shelflife, i just read through it awhile back, I want to say they're good unless you see signs of corrosion.

There is no corrosion at all so I think I am going to load up a few and see how it goes. Hopefully after I am done I will still have enough fingers to count to 10

I would think the only problem would be a misfire? But then again aren't those fingers just spares?

You really only need the thumb for the safety and trigger finger.....the rest just get in the way......you can operate the release on your bow ok too........Misfire probably....watch for "Hang Fire"....thats a real possiblity........Spurdaddy
