General Turkey Hunting

Turkey hunting is one of the most challenging hunts an outdoorsman can experience.  Whether you pursue it with a bow (an even greater challenge for a challenging hunt), smoke pole (for the traditionalist) or a shotgun, most hunters become instantly addicted the moment they hear that gobble echo through the woods.  Hunting this elusive bird with a shotgun is probably the closest you will get to bow hunting without carrying a bow.  Decked out in camouflage, you set out your decoys, and begin to call.  All is quiet until that tom fires up and answers you with a thunderous gobble.  Then comes the cat and mouse game of trying to lure him in.  To the right you will find hints that will help you improve your hunt, or, if your a beginner, to start you out.  Either way, the information should make you a little more learned it the art of turkey hunting.
